Inventory Transfer

inventory transfers move items between locations or between bins within the same location in ianaiERP. They are essential for multi-location inventory and optimized stock distribution, especially when you need to reposition stock efficiently.

Overview

  • Enables balanced stock distribution across locations/bins for multi-site operations.

  • Keeps valuation consistent with your configured method (FIFO/LIFO/Weighted Average).

  • Captures shipping details and can create a bill through the associated shipping vendor.

  • Supports stronger control via reasons, notes, reconciliation with physical counts, and notifications for large/critical transfers.

Where to Access

  • Users (admin / common) can access item via Inventory column (Inventory: Transfer)

  • Click Add New to initiate adding transfer onto the ianaiERP system

    2. Enter Date, From Location, To Location, Reason.

    3. For each item: select Item, enter Quantity; if bin-tracked, set From Bin / To Bin; add Notes/Comments.

    4. For location-to-location: add Ship Method, Tracking Number, Shipping Cost (bill can be created via the shipping vendor on the ship method).

    5. Save.

  • Valuation reference: Transfer valuation respects your FIFO/LIFO/Weighted Average setting.
