Introduction

ianaiERP's HR module covers the full employee lifecycle inside the same system as the rest of your ERP: the employee directory and team structure, new-hire onboarding, daily attendance and shift scheduling, time-off and leave, and company-wide announcements and certificates. Payroll — pay periods, payslips, tax filings, year-end, severance — is a large module of its own and is covered in depth on its own set of pages; this page and its siblings focus on everything else.

What it covers

AreaWhat it does
People & TeamThe employee directory (Members), and Member Groups — the categories that define a group's work schedule, leave types, benefits and pay structure
OnboardingA guided packet for a new hire to fill in (contact info, tax withholding, direct deposit, work-eligibility attestation, signatures), followed by a manager/HR review step
Daily Hub & ShiftsThe personal dashboard (clock in/out, today's shift, leave balance, recent requests), shift patterns, and the shift roster planner
Time Off & LeaveLeave types, holiday calendars, submitting leave/overtime/business-trip/work-hours requests, and the manager approval queue
Broadcasts & CertificatesCompany-wide announcements and issuing employment/salary/career and other certificates
PayrollPay structures, pay periods, payslips, tax registrations and filings, year-end reporting, severance — see the Payroll pages linked below

Where it lives

The HR section of the main menu adapts to what you're allowed to see:

  • Daily Hub — the entry point; it opens whichever workspace you have access to.
  • My Work — your own dashboard, requests, and profile. Everyone with an employee record gets this.
  • My Team — a manager's or admin's view: today's attendance, the approval queue, and the shift roster.
  • People — the employee directory, company announcements, and certificates. Visible in part or in full depending on your role.
  • Payroll — pay periods, payslips, and everything tax- and compliance-related. See the Payroll pages.
  • HR Settings — company-wide configuration: member groups, leave types, benefits, holidays, shift patterns, daily tasks, compliance, and document templates.
  • Setup Wizard — the one-time activation flow for a company turning HR on for the first time.

Who uses what

HR access is layered. Whether the HR section (and, separately, Payroll) appears in your menu at all depends on your company's plan. Within a company that has it, what you personally see depends on your role:

  • Employee (self-service) — opens My Work: today's dashboard (clock in/out if your team tracks it, your shift, leave balance, recent requests), a full history of your own requests, and your own profile. Anyone with an employee record gets this, even without any HR administrative role.
  • Manager — additionally opens My Team: company attendance for the day, an approval queue for leave/overtime/business-trip/work-hours requests, and the shift roster planner.
  • HR admin — additionally opens People (the full Members directory, Communication, Certificates) and HR Settings (all company-wide configuration), and is the one who runs the Setup Wizard.
  • Payroll (read or run) — opens Payroll independently of the roles above; a person can have payroll access without any of the HR roles, or vice versa.

A member detail record has its own read/edit boundary too: an employee editing their own record gets a narrow "Edit My Info" form, while HR admin gets the full record (department, pay, employment status, and so on).

Recommended setup order

  1. Run the Setup Wizard the first time HR is turned on: create your Member Groups, register members, assign them to groups, then finalize/activate. See People & Team.
  2. Configure HR Settings — leave types and holiday calendar (seed defaults for your country), shift patterns if you schedule shifts, benefit types, and daily task templates. See Time Off & Leave and Daily Hub & Shifts.
  3. Invite or register employees from People → Members — a lightweight invite (name optional, just an email) or a full record with department, pay and eligibility filled in up front. See People & Team.
  4. Walk new hires through Onboarding — the employee fills in their packet, then a manager or admin completes the employer-side review. See Onboarding.
  5. Turn on Payroll once people and their pay structures are in place, and separately walk through tax registration and compliance. See Payroll Overview and Tax & Compliance.
  6. Set who can see what — review the HR-related roles and, if you use Payroll, its read/run distinction. See Permissions & Setup.
